1. General
The provider of the Teachers EasyNote app (see 2. Contact details of the provider) does not collect or transmit any personal data. All notes entered by you in the app, such as first and last name, grades and annotations, are stored exclusively on the device. There is no transfer of this data via the Internet or automatic backup via cloud storage.
Whether and which data of students you are allowed to store and process in the app should be clarified with your principal, the school's data protection officer or the state education authority responsible for you. A general release by this privacy policy is not provided.

3. Description of the types of data collected by the app (access rights)
3.1 Photos/media/files
Access to the device's memory is required to store the data and settings entered in the app in an SQL database. In addition, a log file is created (see 3.3 Log file). You have the option to make a backup of your data manually. In this case, two Excel files are created and also saved on the device.
3.2 WLAN connection information
In general, the app can be used completely without the Internet, since no data needs to be transmitted to our own servers. An Internet connection is only required for communication with the external app distributor, Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Apple or Google automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files to ensure technically error-free access, updating the software and providing payment of the app. Please refer to the privacy policies of Apple https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/ or Google https://play.google.com/intl/us_en/about/play-terms/index.html.
We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.
3.3 Log file
The app automatically creates a log file during use, in which individual notices and occurring warnings and error messages are stored. This log file only collects information up to a size of 5 MB and is then automatically deleted. The log file can be sent along with a support request in order to specifically correct errors in the app. An automatic transmission of the log file does not take place. In this log file is stored:
4. Storage period of the data
The data mentioned in 3.1 and 3.3 will remain on your device for the duration of using the app and will not be deleted automatically. Deletion of the data must be done manually, for example in case of uninstalling the app.
5. Support requests via e-mail
If you send us requests by e-mail, the information you provide in the e-mail and the attachment, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO) if this has been requested.
The data you enter in the e-mail will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have completed processing your inquiry). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
6. information about the transmission of data to third parties and its purpose
The app does not transmit any personal data to third parties or to a third country, except for the data required for the provision of the app by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Please refer to the notes in 3.2 WLAN connection information.
Insofar as the usage data is used by the app provider or app store operator for the billing of paid app offers, this is billing data, the use of which is regulated in §§ 15 para. 2, 4 et seq. TMG. The service provider may use usage data beyond the end of the usage process if it is necessary for billing purposes with the user.
7. User rights
Pursuant to Section 34 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (in conjunction with Section 13 (7) of the German Telemedia Act, if applicable), any User whose personal data is collected and used has the right to demand information about the personal data stored by the Controller. According to § 35 BDSG, he can demand the correction, deletion and blocking of data. These claims also exist for the user when using an app. App providers should therefore be prepared for corresponding requests from users, as with other processing of user data (inventory, usage and content data), in order to be able to respond promptly if necessary.
